Social Studies this year concentrates on Ancient World History. We will be studying the formation of the continents along with the beginnings of ancient civilizations. We will be using a variety of materials this year as we work towards achieving the standards. Materials will range from the district adopted textbook, to articles, and possibly novel study.
Homework: All homework should be ready at the beginning of class time for full credit, any late/missing homework will receive half credit. It is a student's responsibility to see me with any late, completed homework to receive credit.
Missing Assignments/Homework – It is very important to complete and turn in all assignments on time. However, things happen and the idea is to do better every day. If you have a missing assignment (one you can not locate to complete), you may ask me for a before school pass. Once a week, by appointment only, I will have students come to class before school to make up missing work. Credit for the missing assignment will be given for: student’s willingness to take responsibility for the missing work, being prepared for to complete the assignment, and the comprehension of the material.
